Phenomena such as arcing and corona effects produce ultrasound at the site where the emission occurs. These electrical discharges can be located quickly by scanning the area with the Ultraprobe. The signal is heard as a buzzing sound or as interference in the headphones. As with pressure or vacuum leak detection, the closer the instrument is to the discharge, the stronger the signal. Inspections can be performed on circuit breakers, transformers, circuit breakers, busbars, relays, insulators, among other electrical equipment.
